Designed as a tourism model for Turkey, Belek itself is relatively new. The streets are pretty with planting and sculpture and offer an abundance of superb shops, restaurants and bars. Market day is Saturday and you will find virtually anything from traditional spices and dried goods to fresh vegetables and fruits, clothing to household wares. Neighbouring Kadriye town is just as pretty and also well worth a visit.
